The Italian division(Chapter 211), which was built in July of 1996, is a no profit organization whose main goals are:

• to protect the category’s interests and to represent them at any given institutional level
• to guarantee the goal of achieving both company’s security and individuals’, taking into consideration the ethical-professional conditions in which the issue of security is considered
• to assist its members in the developing of the associations ’moral and professional growth
• to encourage studying and related forms of initiatives aimed at improving security both in businesses and in society
• to contribute to the training and further of education of its members
• to assign certificates and certifications
• to take part in as many as possible social activities aimed at helping people

The official members making up ASIS Italy are:

The Italian division (Chapter 211) has over 80 members, they are top national companies and multinationals with a presence in Italy, both a considerable amount of private investigations companies and some government bodies.

The board of directors is made of 5 Italian members plus 2 area supervisors and they meet monthly in Milan. For the year 2010 various institutional activities such as seminars and conventions are planned and so is, for the first time in Italy, the CPP certification for whose security managers who will attend the course in Milan in May, October and November.

ASIS Italy and Europe (Bruxelles)are working on equalizing as much as possible the international standards to the European licensing law ISO EN and the Italian UNI as to obtain certification standards and audit for security businesses.
