How  to become a member

In order to become a member of ASIS it is necessary to follow  a procedure of international request. It has not been possible to do so under the Italian Chapter, even tough the members of ASIS Italy are available to help if necessary with advise and clarifications as they may be needed.

There are two ways one can avail of to become a member: through the on-line procedure https://www.asisonline.org/( Membership section) or downloading and completing the document PDF version of the membership application and sending it by post or by fax to the specified contacts.

ASIS International offers two levels of membership:
Member: that is to say a professional in the field of security who has one or more management positions( executive, manager...) or is responsible for the security or is the supervisor of a specific activity within the company he works in.
Associate: that is to say an individual who has a personal interest in security, who wishes to know and to follow the educational programmes as offered by ASIS.

Why becoming a  member?

There are many advantages associated to becoming a member, some are related to the so called “ networking”, others are related to the potential opportunities linked to the professional growth, to the on going learning process and  ad hoc training.

Netwotking
One of the noticeable and long lasting benefits is the possibility to establish and help grow professional relationships with all the associates globally. The national chapters and local ones are over 200 and they give each member the opportunity to interact, to know and to discuss local practices, to part take in the events  and so on.

Resources related to employment opportunities
The associates can access the International search engine ASIS Employment Resource Service and they can verify the employment opportunities on a list which is updated constantly or they can answer the job posts of specialized companies within the security world. All this happens on line.
Programmes related to the professional growth

Security is, by definition, an issue which is constantly in need of updating and thanks to the opportunities offered by ASIS it is possible to hold the pace and to be prepared and competitive. ASIS offers basically five  different way s to do so: from the seminar to the annual conferences, to the class’ programmes, to the eLearning to the virtual Forum, as well as the on-site training programmes. All these activities are offered to the ASIS members at discounted rates.

Moreover , the members receive daily the electronic newsletter Eurodynamics whose focus is on news and issues related to the Old Continent.
