Each profession requests specific competencies. The certification proves to the potential employer that we do have those. At present ASIS has 3 certification programmes to offer: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – Certification for Security Managers Since 1977
It is awarded to people whose primary duty is that of managing security and who show great abilities in both problem solving and creating management procedures. Certified Professional Investigator (PCI) – Certification for Private Investigators Introduced in 2002
It is awarded to people whose primary duty is that of conducting investigations and who have already proved to having in depth knowledge and the necessary operative skills to operate in this sector. Physical Security Professional (PSP) – Certification for Experts in Physical Security – protections, alarm systems, technological systems. Introduced in 2002
